Marie was one of three employees involved in the early initiative to extend ROMTech’s services from orthopedic rehab to cardiac, using an adaptation of their current medical device. After receiving positive feedback from physicians, company leaders ran with the idea.
Marie developed a heart-felt brand identity that leaders took to hospital systems and cardiac surgeons, selling in the concept of “at-home cardiac rehab.” The company trademarked her “Home Is Where Your Heart Is” theme line.

Ultimately, the team’s efforts opened the door to thousands of new patients within a matter of months, leading to numerous hospital systems adopting the ROMTherapy program and enabling ROMTech to get insurance coverage for post-op cardiac rehab in the convenience of patients’ homes. The cardiac division was projected to soon become the company’s most profitable.
